This site has been optimized for visual appeal and performance. It is best viewed at 1024 X 768 resolution. Most pages will load within less than 25 seconds at a 28.8 baud dial-up connection. Only a select few pages exceed this time limit. All pages display adequately at resolution settings of 800 X 600, 1024 X 768 or higher. All pages display equally well in Netscape Communicator and Microsoft Internet Explorer (MSIE). (All pages were tested at 800 X 600 and 1024 X 768 resolution setting in Netscape Communicator 4.7 and MSIE 5.5). In the lower resolution ranges, photographs and artwork may appear slightly blurred on some monitors. This is because all visual material was compressed as much as practical to allow a speedy load via slow speed or dial-up connections. If high quality pictures are of interest, the uncompressed original images are available by clicking anywhere on the displayed compressed image. It is important to know, however, that some of the original images are quite large and may take considerable time to download over slow speed connections. Some older original images have been extensively edited to eradicate undesirable scratches and dust.
The colors used bear special significance to the process of Test and Evaluation. The use of orange represents a highly visible color often used to distinguish test vehicles. The color blue represents "blue skies". The photo in the background is of a sculpture called the "Pathfinder". It is dedicated to those who have flown wing on the future.
