  • The T-45 first flew in 1988 and started training student aviators in 1991. The Boeing Aircraft Company Goshawk is based on the British Aerospace Hawk trainer.


  • This cockpit was part of an aircraft that is 39 feet long and 13 feet high, the wingspan is 31 feet.


  • Students learn formation flying, cross-country navigation and aerial combat. They also learn how to drop practice bombs and fire rockets.


  • The T-45 will be training new Navy and Marine Corps aviators at least until 2035.
